In 1990 we began working with roughly 100 children. By 2000 our programs served nearly 500 students. In 2004 that number jumped to more than 1,500, with 80% of our
programs remaining free to participants.
In the same period that our enrollment increased 200%, our revenue rose less than 15%. We're proud to extend access to our visual-arts classes while keeping costs to a minimum.
We do this by putting our money where it's most effective: More than 80% of our expenses go directly to our programs. We also make the most of collaborating with local businesses and other nonprofit organizations.

Give Us Stuff
In-kind donations keep our programs going. If you have high-quality art supplies you no longer use, let us know -- you'd be surprised by what we can do with used supplies, unusual materials, and found objects. You can also help with framing, catering, printing, or event hosting, or provide exhibit space.

Volunteer Your Time
Studio volunteers help FACT instructors successfully manage classes on a semester or 12-week basis. No special skills are required beyond energy and eagerness to work with children through visual art. To find out more about volunteering with our young artists, please fill out the Volunteer Questionnaire and send it to Keelan Wackman, Program Director, via fax (505) 992-2772 or mail to P.O. Box 22363, Santa Fe, NM 87502
Special events and project volunteers help out on a one-time basis. For more information about these opportunities, contact (505) 992-2787 or

Attend Events
Support young artists by attending one of FACT's many exhibits (check our calendar for details). You also can get involved with our biannual fund raisers. In March we celebrate our birthday at Santacafé with a silent auction of children's artwork and plenty of wine and hors d'oeuvres. And in September, you can attend Los Pintores: Past, Present, and Future, a celebration of Santa Fe's arts heritage and auction of fine art by local artists.
To reserve tickets for the birthday celebration or Los Pintores, contact us at
